Jody Gatwood Education Fund

For 25 years, Jody Gatwood served as concertmaster of the National Philharmonic. At the end of our 2009-2010 season when Jody retired, Maestro Piotr Gajewski and the Board of Directors appointed him Concertmaster Emeritus. As an additional honor for this committed leader, teacher, and friend, the National Philharmonic created the Jody Gatwood Education Fund to support the National Philharmonic’s educational outreach programming, including: All Kids, All Free, All the Time; Student concerts for all second graders, in partnership with Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) and the Music Center at Strathmore; Summer String and Choral Institutes, Masterclasses, and pre-concert Lectures; and Educational Initiatives for under resourced communities.

The National Philharmonic gratefully accepts ongoing contributions to the Jody Gatwood Education Fund. Thank you for supporting NatPhil’s education programs.
